Sometimes it seems like we’ve had a year of it here at TMT, with nearly 6 month delays on our recent cassettes. This little record however, puts things into perspective. Recorded 7 years ago, Sanguelia’s second album finally sees the light of day in 2022.

Composed entirely using analogue synthesisers (and no doubt a metric ton of patience), Sanguelia takes us on a journey inspired by the wobbly heart-pounding songs that would not be out of place as the soundtrack to terrible rented VHS movies. Imagine the climatic chase scene in a giallo, or a long sequence in a slightly classier zombie movie that’s been reissued by one of the more respectable Blu Ray companies for its social / economic subtext (lol). 2015 - The Fall Of Newport takes you there, and to any other realms you may imagine; to the terrors of nuclear holocaust or along with the shadowy stalk of a killer working his way through yet another sorority house.
